Who We Are: No Limits Wrestling Club
A Modern Youth Wrestling Academy in Ridgefield, Washington

No Limits Wrestling Club was created during the first half of 2025 out of a very specific realization shared by Coach Brandon Higdon and Coach Kassi Irelan.
It wasn’t dissatisfaction with the wrestling community we came from, in fact, it was the opposite. We both wrestled for and coached under a well-established club with a strong 30-year legacy. It was a good program, filled with good people.
But over time, we began to feel limited.
Not by effort or passion, but by identity.
That long-standing identity made evolution difficult, and we knew that both coaches and athletes deserve the freedom to grow beyond inherited constraints. We wanted to build something that embodied rising above limitations rather than accepting them.
That idea became No Limits Wrestling Club.
Why No Limits Wrestling Club Exists
At its core, No Limits Wrestling Club exists to remove limitations, mental, technical, and structural, that often hold young wrestlers back.
As coaches, “No Limits” means this:
There is always a solution
Challenges are not excuses, they are opportunities to problem-solve
Athletes should never question whether they are capable of accomplishing what’s in front of them
We teach our wrestlers to think critically, adapt, and trust themselves, on and off the mat.
Wrestling Is Evolving, and Coaching Must Evolve Too
One of the biggest problems we saw at a larger scale is that wrestling is changing, but not all coaching philosophies have adapted.
At the highest levels of the sport today:
Less is more
Simplicity wins
Technical proficiency beats brute force
Confidence, mat awareness, and clock management decide matches
Championships are often won by 1–2 point margins and we need to be comfortable and confident performing here.
We are no longer seeing success defined by who cuts the most weight or grinds the hardest. We’re seeing success defined by athletes who understand:
Position
Pace
Space
Scoring efficiency
This modern approach to wrestling was largely missing in Clark County, and we knew we could bring something different, something intentional , to the local wrestling landscape.

Building Wrestling at the Grassroots Level in Ridgefield, WA
Another driving force behind No Limits Wrestling Club was geography.
Ridgefield, Washington is growing rapidly. Many of our athletes already live here, and the town is supported by a phenomenal high school wrestling program and an incredibly supportive community.
Yet until now, there was no youth wrestling program in Ridgefield.
No Limits Wrestling Club was built to change that — to grow wrestling from the grassroots level up and provide a strong developmental pipeline for athletes in Ridgefield and across Clark County, Washington.
A Special Focus on Girls Wrestling
One of the most important pieces of No Limits Wrestling Club is representation.
Coach Kassi Irelan is a high-caliber female wrestling coach from Washington, something that is still far too rare, especially at the youth level.
Across the east side of the state, we’ve seen what happens when girls are introduced to wrestling early:
Higher retention
Stronger confidence
Deeper talent pipelines
Greater long-term success
We want that same opportunity for girls in Southwest Washington.
At No Limits Wrestling Club, young female athletes see from day one that they belong on the mat, that there is a future for them in the sport, and that excellence is possible.

Beyond Wrestling: Limitless Performance Systems
The developmental approach at No Limits Wrestling Club extends far beyond what happens on the mat.
Drawing from years of experience in bodybuilding, Olympic weightlifting, and athletic strength development, Coach Brandon Higdon and Coach Kassi Irelan created Limitless Performance Systems, a performance-based training model designed to support athletes at every stage of development.
Limitless Performance Systems exists to address a critical gap we see in youth sports:
many athletes train hard, but very few train intentionally.
Strength Built for Wrestling, and Life
Through Limitless Performance Systems, athletes have access to a broad range of services that complement their wrestling training, including:
Small-group strength and conditioning sessions
Personalized strength program design
Athletic movement and injury-prevention training
Mindset development and confidence-building courses
Athletes who consistently participate in structured strength and conditioning with us — particularly during the spring, summer, and early fall — show clear advantages in:
Physical strength
Body awareness
Mental confidence
Competitive readiness
These athletes are often more composed under pressure and better equipped to handle the demands of high-level wrestling.
A Unified Development Model
What makes No Limits Wrestling Club unique is that wrestling and performance training are not treated as separate worlds.
Our coaching staff understands how:
Strength supports technique
Conditioning supports confidence
Mindset supports consistency
Every program within Limitless Performance Systems is designed with the same philosophy that guides our wrestling academy:
Long-term athlete development
Fundamentals over shortcuts
Consistency over intensity spikes
Confidence built through preparation
This integrated approach allows athletes to develop not just as wrestlers, but as strong, resilient, disciplined competitors.
Built for Serious Development, Still Fun
While our standards are high, we believe development should still be engaging and enjoyable.
Limitless Performance Systems reflects the same balance as No Limits Wrestling Club:
Structured, intentional training
A positive and motivating environment
Coaching that challenges athletes while supporting them
It’s about creating athletes who are prepared — physically and mentally — for whatever comes next in sport and in life.
Our Philosophy: Development First, Always
We are a deliberately developmental program.
Yes, we want our athletes to win, but not at the expense of fundamentals.
We believe:
Development > trophies
Long-term athlete development matters
Consistency builds confidence under pressure
Accountability and discipline create freedom
Culture matters more than convenience
You don’t need a thousand fancy moves to be a champion.
You need five moves you can execute in your sleep.
That’s how fundamentals become automatic, and how athletes succeed when the pressure is highest.
